Plastics are becoming indispensable part day by day in today’s world. Because of their properties like light-weight durability, energy efficiency, coupled with a faster rate of production and design flexibility, these plastics are used in entire gamut of industrial and domestic areas. Plastic are non-degradable polymers which contains carbon, hydrogen and few others elements such as chlorine, nitrogen etc. Due to its non-biodegradable nature the plastic wastes contribute significantly to the problem of municipal waste management. Plastics are natural or synthetic materials and are produced by chemically modifying natural substances or are synthesized from inorganic and organic raw materials. On the basis of their physical characteristics, plastics are usually divided into thermosets and thermoplastics. These groups differ primarily with regard to molecular structure, which is determines their differing thermal behavior. In this scenario our project aims to solve the twin problem of environment pollution due to plastic and the need for an alternative fuel source. So, we choose this project i.e., Conversion of waste plastic into diesel by pyrolysis method. People are making various things from waste plastic like furniture, mats, rugs, recycled shoes, yoga mats, ecofriendly blankets, bag packs, reusable cups, etc. So, we though why don’t we also make something with plastic so that it can help plastic disposal & indirectly nature as well.
